Responsibilities and Duties

  • You help maintain the highest editorial and scientific standards across the team;
  • You support publication planning and editorial management;
  • You will support both commercial writing as well as scientific publications and manuscripts;
  • You deliver medical writing and editing for a variety of materials, consistently meeting client expectations;
  • You will attend scientific symposia, conferences, and other client meetings;
  • You proactively engage in projects and help assure that the deliverables are met within timelines while meeting the highest standards.

Qualifications
You hold at minimum a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in a life sciences subject and at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field. Previous experience at a medical communications agency is ideal. Candidates will be asked to do a writing and editing assessment in both English and Traditional Chinese.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is pro-active, self-motivated, and punctual with customer-focused attitude, problem-solving mentality, keen attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Has a sense of curiosity with a broad understanding of medical science and the flexibility to comprehend different therapeutic areas;
  • Has the ability to translate complex science into clear and concise messages;
  • Has excellent skills in using MS Office package and Windows/Mac;
  • Is a permanent resident in Hong Kong, and fluent in written (Traditional Chinese) and spoken (Cantonese) Chinese and English. 
  • Preference will go to candidates who are native in English.

Reporting Line
The successful incumbent will report to the Senior Medical Writer of the Company. Candidates who do not hear back from Company within 2 weeks after submitting their CV and application letter may consider their application to be unsuccessful.
